Theater maker, clowness, architect
Born in Athens, based in Berlin
In 2005, I started my studies in architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the Faculty of Engineering and in 2010, I continued at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
After completing my studies, I worked in several architectural studios in Athens, focusing on residential, commercial and museum projects.
Simultaneously, from 2012 until 2017, I was an active member of the Athens Chapter of the Open Architecture Collaborative (formerly Architecture for Humanity) — an international non-profit design organization based in San Francisco. Its primary goal was to address local issues and challenges through architectural design, collaborating with non-profit organizations, local government agencies, and community groups. In practice, our projects involved close engagement with a wide range of citizens — local residents, minority communities, immigrants, children, school groups, municipalities, and cultural spaces — always aiming for inclusive and socially responsive design.
During this time, my interest in theater grew, leading me to work both on stage as a performer and behind the scenes as a set and costume designer.
I also explored various art forms, including music, painting, dance, small- and large- scale constructions, art installations.
Through my experimentation with art and video installations and my exposure to Butoh and Text Theater, I was drawn to physical devised theater.
In 2017, I moved to Berlin and completed a two-year full-time program (2017-2019) at Arthaus Berlin (formerly LISPA), specializing in devised practice and performing arts.
Since the beginning of my journey, I have continually explored the intersection of architecture and performing arts, seeking to blend these two worlds into a unified practice. Shapes and forms inspire my movement in the studio, while aesthetics play a significant role in each project’s creation.
This "experiment" continues to evolve, always open to new ideas, shifts, and other creative dimensions.
